Low funding in Uganda

Uganda the pearl of Africa is a fantastic country that provides great tourism service and hotels. The country is well updated with  infrastructure meaning that you are able to access the vast array of tourism sites with in the country. With all these advantages it only leaves one very unfortunately  disadvantage and that is funding. Uganda is faced with a Sh17b shortage on funding. Uganda  spends  only $25,580 on marketing compared to Kenya which spends $25m on marketing. With such low allocated funds to market the country this makes spreading the word about Uganda hard to reach  countries and  this means waiting longer to tap into new markets. From the Ugandan budget, money has been allocated to help develop the tourism and hotel sector but still that is not enough as they can only do so much.

The tourism sector  provides a lot of opportunity for countries such as Uganda and also provides an opening  for its people. With more hotels and tourism service  brings employment and better infrastructure.

what are your views on this and if you where in Uganda’s position how would go about marketing the country with low funds?
